I used a Magic Bullet and did batches of one cup each. It took about a minute per batch and the consistency and gustation is exactly that of shop-bought confectioner's sugar. Absolutely brilliant - volition use every time from now on! PS - Someone below asked why there is cornstarch in it. It is because that is how confectioner's carbohydrate is made and information technology volition affect the event/consistency of your icing, etc. if y'all leave out the cornstarch. Information technology is a necessary ingredient.

Used 1 cup of white sugar & ii Tbsp. Potato Starch in a java grinder & was washed in less than 30 seconds. Accept used information technology many times. I cant have corn so I use the potato starch, thats what powdered sugar was originally fabricated with anyways. Turns out perfect every time, makes slap-up icing.

I ran out of powder sugar, so I thought this is a good time to try this out. Well I am 30 min into this and I am not fifty-fifty close. I don't know of I should surrender or proceed just to see what happens. My machine and the sugar are both hot and then for now its just going to sit.

I used a food processor and followed the instructions exactly.. I candy each small batch for about v minutes. It was almost like powdered saccharide, but non quite. Then I tried to utilise it in frosting and it resulted in gritty butter that I had to throw away. I'll exist sticking to store bought.

This really worked! Thank you, it saved me when making some buttercream frosting. I used potato starch for wellness problems. I composite 1 cup sugar plus 2 Tbsp potato starch at a fourth dimension. Worked like a amuse. Thanks for sharing.

This works perfectly. Brand in smaller batches unless you have a powerful, higher capacity blender. (Vitamix dry out container is amazing for this.) The cornstarch is an anti-caking addition. Delight don't leave it out. It is necessary every bit most frosting recipes volition need it.

I made this today considering i was Out of pulverization sugar and was in the process of making frosting for my dads birthday block. I didn't want to go out to the store to purchase some so I decided to make half a batch. I used the ninja blender and put it in the highest setting for about 10 minutes, while the sugar did go finer, it did not plow into pulverisation. I put it at the highest level once more for another 10 minutes but it was still the aforementioned. Thinking information technology was fine enough I went alee and prepared the frosting. That was a huge mistake, no matter how much I beat the frosting, it was just too gritty. My ninja blender is new and I have blended whole fruit and then I'one thousand non certain what the problem is, it just did not work for me.

I wouldn't say I'm going to end buying powedered sugar by any means merely this did work and saved my dessert when I realized I was out of the shop bought version. I just needed a loving cup and then I scaled back the recipe and wizzed it upward in my mini chopper and it worked perfectly. Good to know I can do this should I meet the same trouble once more.

Can't believe this is the trick to making powdered sugar. I was "iffy" near adding cornstarch and to my surprise the stuff yous purchase off the shelf has information technology too. There was no difference between this and storebought. I'thou never buying powdered sugar once again. I used my coffee grinder to make this.

I made exactly every bit the recipe said for a cream cheese frosting and resulted perfect. I would recommend to grind it until completely powdered to avoid clutters.

Just never came together. I used ane cup of sugar in a Ninja food processor. I got puffs of powdered saccharide after about 7 minutes, merely zip had changed past x minutes and my machine was getting warm. I concluded up with superfine sugar, merely withal mode too gritty for frosting. Bummer.

I fabricated this sugar to go into a recipe for frosting an angel food cake. After 9 minutes of running the sugar and corn starch (which I reduced to a 1 loving cup size) in my food processor I found information technology to expect similar powdered sugar simply information technology wasn't. It was very gritty and not smooth. I went alee and made the recipe (which I take used for twoscore years) and it was and then gritty I couldn't use information technology. I volition say this, it tasted very succulent only the texture was awful and I couldn't use the frosting. I accept a very good commercial food processor. No overheating or problems with information technology. I won't be doing this again.

My best advice is non to run out of confectioners saccharide! I wish I had read some of the reviews before trying this. I put the carbohydrate and corn starch in my nutrient processor for much more than the recommended 2 minutes and all I got was sugar dust flying all over the place. I took some off and put it in my nutri ninja and that helped a fleck, but it nevertheless wasn't as fine as the store bought CS. I recall that perchance making a smaller batch is advisable. I, for ane, do non believe it is worth the endeavour. Cleanup was not fun. I'll be buying extra the next time I become shopping.

It worked great. I will never purchase powered saccharide again.
